A look back

When we launched Tagbox.io in January 2023, our mission was simple: to make organizing and sharing media easier than ever. That first year was all about building a solid foundation, including powerful search capabilities, face recognition, and seamless sharing options.

Fast forward to 2024, we set two main goals:

1. Perfecting the basics.
2. Supporting advanced use cases.

We’ve made strides in both areas, from speeding up the platform to adding features like table view, custom AI tagging, and new export options. 

These two goals will continue to shape what we build in the near future.

Perfecting the Basics

We’re focused on making your daily tasks even easier with these core improvements:

• Video Preview on Hover: Quickly preview videos by hovering over thumbnails, saving time when managing large video libraries and GIFs.
• Data Exports: Export data directly from our table view, creating CSV files with all associated tags and metadata for each asset.
• ‍Bulk Remove Assets from Collections: One of the most frequently requested features! Removing assets one by one has been too time-consuming—soon, you’ll be able to bulk remove them with ease.

Supporting Advanced Use Cases

For users with more complex needs, we’ll continue to build features that offer more flexibility and control:

• Embedding Assets with a CDN Link: Embed files directly into your website using a CDN link, ensuring faster performance and centralized storage without needing to upload assets individually.
• API Access: We’re opening up API access so you can integrate Tagbox.io with your existing tools, automate workflows, and customize your setup.
• Copyright Reminders: Stay compliant with automatic copyright reminders, helping you track licensing renewals and attribution needs effortlessly.
